Founded by Professional Footballer Kemar Roofe, The Roofe Academy is an all inclusive football academy based in the Walsall and Birmingham area with a commitment to excellence and providing the highest quality training environment for young people to thrive.
We understand not every child will go on to be a professional athlete, but we believe each and every child should have the opportunity to access the highest quality coaching in a positive, encouraging and engaging environment.
Meet The Founder
Kemar Roofe’s career has taken him from West Bromwich Albion to Leeds United, Anderlecht, and Rangers, where he lifted the Scottish Premiership and League Cup and reached the Europa League Final.
Known for his goals, big-game moments, and relentless drive, Kemar has played over 100 games for Leeds, shone in European competitions, and proudly represents Jamaica on the international stage. He now brings his experience and winning mentality to Derby County in the Championship.
From academy prospect to international star, Kemar’s journey is built on talent, resilience, and a champion’s mindset - the same qualities that power everything he does off the pitch.
Having played internationally Kemar is eager to share his huge wealth of footballing knowledge and experience with the next generation of aspiring young footballers.

My ambition is that the Roofe Academy becomes a home for young footballers from all walks of life and a real hub for talent, providing a creative, nurturing and positive environment that enables players to really share in my love and passion for the game.”
